Montmorency Agencies Handle 82 Calls For Service

Montmorency emergency response agencies handled 83 calls for service in the past week.

Deputies made five warrant arrests, and one traffic related arrest. They also investigated three each of alarms and disputes, as well as two animal control incidents.

Hillman and Tri-Township EMS had 16 runs each, while Lewiston had 8 and Canada Creek one.

Tri-Township Fire had two runs while Hillman and Vienna Fire had one each.

March 15th

11:20 PM MCSO Dispatch received a report of a civil dispute in Briley Township. MCSO Deputies responded and found that a male and female were having a verbal dispute. Both parties were separated for the night. Deputies cleared scene without incident.

March 16th

10:44 AM A 40 year old male from Alpena County was arrested by the Fugitive Team on a MCSO warrant. The subject was lodged.

11:34 AM A welfare check was requested for a male in Montmorency Twp. Contact was made with male and everything was fine.

March 17th

6:14 AM Officers responded to a residential burglar in Vienna Township. Residence was found to be secure.

12:31 PM A welfare check of an elderly male was request in Briley Township. An officer made contact with the male and everything was ok, he was having phone issues.

9:36 PM MCSO Deputies, Tri-Township EMS, and Fire responded to a single vehicle crash in Loud Township; driver was taken to the hospital. All responders cleared without incident.

March 18th

12:08 AM Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in Hillman Township; parties were separated for the evening. Officers cleared without incident.

5:51 PM Dispatch received a 911 hang-up but could hear a verbal dispute happening in the background when called back; Deputies responded. Parties were separated and officers cleared without incident.


9:00 PM Deputies picked up a subject who had an open warrant for their arrest; the male was arrested and lodged.
March 19th

7:49PM A report was made to MCSD Dispatch that there was a bag of used syringes at the corner of Fleming & County Rd 489. MCSD Deputies went to the area found the bag and disposed the syringes.

8:16PM Commercial Alarm was reported by alarm company at the MBank in Lewiston. MCSD Deputy responded to find it was an accidental alarm. A cleaning person accidental set alarm off.

March 20th

5:58 PM Male Beagle was found near Mouch Rd. MCSD Deputy responded and picked the dog up. Deputy was able to find the owner and returned the dog to the owner.

7:27PM MSCD Deputies responded to the Pine Oaks Subdivision in Hillman Township for a civil dispute. The parties were separated for the night.

8:43 PM MSCD Dispatch received a call about loud music playing in the Crooked Lake area. Deputy responded to the area and the music was turned down.

9:05 PM 911 call reporting hearing maybe a vehicle accident on Hossler and Baker. A 2nd 911 call reporting same incident confirming accident. MCSD Deputies, Tri Township Fire and EMS responded. Found 2 male individuals out of the vehicle uninjured next to a vehicle in the ditch. No injuries were reported both parties were treated at the scene and release.

9:25 PM MSCD Dispatch received a noise complaint about vehicles racing and reeving their engines behind the HI Way Bar in Hillman. MCSD responded and warning was given.

March 21st

12:51 AM Traffic stop was made on M32 near M33 south junction. MCSD Deputy arrested a male subject on OUID. Male was taken to MCSD Jail and lodged.


8:42 PM Commercial Alarm was reported by alarm company at the MBank in Lewiston. MCSD Deputy responded to find it was an accidental alarm. A cleaning person accidental set alarm off.
