Gas Prices Drop Slightly
Mon, 22 Mar 2021 06:09:54 EDT

The current state average price of nearly $2.74 for a gallon of regular gas decreased by just over six cents in the past week, but is nearly 88 cents (87.9) higher than last year.

State prices range between $2.33 and $2.99, while the national average is $2.88.

Annalists say crude prices continue to rise, along with the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, or OPEC and allies including Russia, continuing to withhold production. However, more domestic production and better supplies have curbed prices slightly.

Northeast Lower Michigan also saw slight decreases. As of Sunday evening, reporting locations included Gaylord at $2.54... Alpena $2.58... Tawas $2.68... And Oscoda $2.79.
