Gas Prices Lower - But On The Rise
Mon, 29 Mar 2021 06:00:31 EDT

The state average price of $2.70 ($2.70.7) for a gallon of regular gas was four cents (.04) lower in the past week, but 97 cents (97.1) higher than last year.

Analysts say growing stock levels have pressured lower prices, despite production cuts, and a cargo vessel stuck in the Suez Canal could add pressure to prices as all ship traffic - including oil tankers - as all traffic has come to a stop.

The state low and high ranged between $2.25 and $3.09, while the national average was $2.86.

Northeast Lower Michigan prices saw a sharp increase, rolled back a but, but started climbing again. As of Sunday evening, reporting stations included Gaylord at $2.46... Alpena $2.51... Tawas $2.59... Oscoda $2.76... Rogers City $2.79... and Cheboygan $2.89.
