Montmorency Agencies - 69 Calls for Service Mon, 29 Mar 2021 06:01:14 EDT
Montmorency County emergency service agencies responded to 69 calls for service in the past week.
Deputies arrested 3 persons on warrants, another three on complaints, and one each for a traffic related issue and operating while intoxicated.
They also handled four disputes, two each of animal / vehicle crashes and animal control calls along with one alarm.
Hillman and Tri-Township EMS had ten calls each while Lewiston had one. Tri-Township Fire had two runs while Hillman and Canada Creek Fire had one each.

2:54 PM An out of control brush fire was called in to the dispatch center, Tri-Township Fire and EMS along with Atlanta DNR all responded to the scene, as they were finishing up another fire was called in, they all responded to that scene and put that fire out also.
4:52 PM A resident of Briley Township called to request an officer to patrol her area due to kids on dirt bikes racing up and down the road.
8:12 PM Deputies responded to a suspicious person at a local Briley Township business; subject was arrested and lodged for retail fraud. Deputies cleared without incident.
9:43 PM Canada Creek Ranch Fire responded to a potential natural gas leak; units cleared without incident.
7:52 AM An alarm company called in a commercial burglar alarm in Atlanta, the alarm was found to be a false alarm.
3:48 PM Briley Township resident called requesting MCSD Deputy to patrol Morning Star Lake Rd. There are several vehicles racing up and down the road.
5:33 PM MCSD Dispatch received a 911 call about a fight in progress on Pleasant Valley Rd in the Village of Hillman. MSCD Deputies, Michigan State Police, Hillman EMS and Tri Township EMS responded. One male subject was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Investigation is ongoing.
7:46 AM A Briley Township resident called to report damage to her vehicle, deputies responded to the scene and took the report.
2:09 PM While on routine patrol a deputy initiated a traffic stop in Hillman Township, the driver was found to be driving on a revoked license, he was arrested and lodged on the charge.
3:21 PM A civil dispute, in Briley Township, over an easement resulted in law enforcement responding to the scene, parties were separated and officer cleared without incident.
6:33 PM MCSO Deputies responded to a verbal dispute in Briley Township; parties were separated, officers cleared without incident.
9:55 PM Deputies were successful in the pick-up of a subject on a warrant in Hillman Township, units cleared without incident and the male subject was arrested and lodged.
10:32 PM Officers attempted another warrant pick-up for a Briley Township resident; male subject was arrested and lodged. Deputies cleared without incident.
11:19 PM Deputies responded to a two-car vehicle hit and run in Hillman Village at a local establishment; no one was injured. The hit and run subject was found to be driving while intoxicated and arrested on that charge as well and lodged. Officers cleared without incident.
8:30 PM Deputies responded to a domestic situation in Briley Township; a male subject was arrested and lodged at MCSO. Units cleared without incident.
