Traffic Stop Results In Arrest For Felony Offenses

Following a traffic stop by Cheboygan Sheriff Deputies, a 36 year old man was arrested.

Authorities say the suspect was identified as 36 year old Dustin Allen Marrion of Conway.

The stop was made last Tuesday (26) on South Straits Highway near Rondo Road and deputies noticed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. A K-9 dog gave indication of narcotics within the vehicle. A small quantity of methamphetamine, several articles of paraphernalia and a handgun was confiscated.

Marrion was charged with delivery / manufacture and possession of methamphetamine, along with possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon as well as two counts of felony firearm, and habitual offender, all of which can result in a sentence of up to 40 years in prison.

Marrion's next court date is November 4th and his bond was set at $20,000 cash or surety.
