Gas Prices Jump 16 Cents

The state average price of nearly $3.43 for a gallon of regular gas jumped by nearly 16 cents in the past week, which is a dollar 43 higher than last year.

Annalist say that demand increased, while the stockpile decreased slightly along with the price of crude.

State prices ranged from $2.89 and $3.69, while the national average was $3.42.

In Northeast Lower Michigan, prices took a sharp increase by as much as 30 cents and more. As of Sunday evening, prices included Gaylord at $3.09... Oscoda $3.38... Grayling $3.39...Alpena $3.43... Tawas $3.44... While Cheboygan and Rogers City were $3.49.
