Montmorency Agencies - 83 Calls For Service

Montmorency County emergency service agencies responded to 83 calls for service in the past week.

Deputies made three arrests on charges related to operating while intoxicated, a warrant, and traffic related. They also handled six alarms, five animal vehicle crashes, three animal control complaints, and one dispute.Montmorency County had eight Inmates lodged in the Alpena Jail.

Hillman EMS had 12 runs while Tri-Township had 11, Lewiston seven and Canada Creek one.

Tri-Township, Hillman and Canada Creek Fire departments had one run each.

November 1st

3:08 PM A commercial burglar alarm was reported to dispatch, deputies responded to the scene; it was found to be a false alarm.

7:03 PM Deputies responded to a residential alarm in Vienna Township; home was found to be secure. Deputies cleared without incident.

9:15 PM Deputies assisted a DNR officer with a traffic stop; subject was arrested and later lodged at Alpena County Jail. Subject was charged with flee and allude; all units cleared without incident.

9:25 PM A Deputy responded to a residential burglar alarm in Albert Township; residence was found to be secure; Officer cleared without incident.

November 2nd

12:22 PM A report of a single vehicle crash was made; no injuries were reported. Officers responded to the scene, and cleared without incident.

5:23 PM Officers responded to a residential burglar alarm on Connon Rd in the Village of Hillman. The residence was found to be secure, the owner accidently set the alarm off.

November 3rd

8:29 PM Officers were dispatched for a residential burglar alarm on Sloan Trl in Albert Township. The residence was found to be secure and no one was around.

November 4th

10:02 AM A concerned family member called to request a welfare check, a deputy responded to the residence; the subject was found to be fine.

3:53 PM A dispute in Briley Township was reported to dispatch, deputies responded to the scene and spoke with both parties. Officer’s cleared without incident.

9:25 PM Officers were requested for a welfare check on an elderly female in Albert Township. The female had fallen earlier in the day and was found on the floor, she was transported to the hospital by Lewiston EMS.

November 5th

11:09 AM There was a report of a domestic dispute in progress in Vienna township. Michigan State Police and Montmorency County officers responded. A female was taken into custody and transported to Cheboygan County on multiple warrants.

10:57 PM A 911 hang-up came into the center with a bad connection from Hillman Township; dispatch attempted to contact the caller back and was still unable to make contact. A Deputy responded to check at the residence where the call came in from; everyone at residence was fine.

November 6th

12:10 AM Deputies responded to a noise complaint in Briley Township; Officers spoke with the subjects and asked to keep things down, the party agreed to keep things down for the remainder of the evening. Deputies cleared without incident.

4:03 AM An officer responded to a potential breaking and entering at a residence in Albert Township; The residence/property was found to be secure. Deputy cleared without incident.

9:19 PM A dispute was reported to the department in Hillman Township, a Deputy responded; the parties were separated and the Deputy cleared without incident.

November 7th

6:05 PM Dispatch received a complaint of an intoxicated female in a vehicle on the side of the road in Vienna Township. An officer responded and found the female in her vehicle on the side of roadway. A 39-year-old female from Oscoda was arrested for operating while intoxicated. She was lodged.
