Early Thursday afternoon (November 11th), The Habitat for Humanity Restore celebrated its grand reopening, which was topped off by a ribbon cutting by the Alpena Chamber of Commerce.

As previously reported, the original ReStore, at 400 West Chisholm Street, burned down early Sunday morning, November 3rd, 2019.

The Habitat board and staff spent time deciding whether to rebuild on the original site or find a new location.

Eventually deciding on a new location, the new building, located at 2630 US-23 South, will now combine the Habitat Restore and offices into one location, with 12,000 total square footage.
