The Michigan State Police (MSP) is organizing their annual “Stuff a Blue Goose” events in Alpena, Alcona, Oscoda, and Presque Isle Counties.

The Blue Goose refers to the nickname for a MSP patrol car. It's an effort to gather as many toiletries, toys, and non-perishable food items as possible for those in need.

Troopers will have a patrol car situated at various locations during this and next month, starting this Friday (19) at the Family Fare in Mio from 2:00 until 6;00 p.m.

Other locations include:

Family Fare in Rogers City on December 1st from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m.

In Lincoln at the Kris Mart on December 5th between noon and 3:00 p.m.

And the Walmart store in Alpena on Saturday December 11th, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

All items gathered will be turned over to organizations assisting families in need.
