District Health #4 officials have announced their COVID-19 testing and vaccination events for the month of January.

For the most part, Vaccination / Booster events will be held at the Alpena County Fairgrounds on Tuesdays between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and January 10th and 24th in Lewiston at St. Francis from 1 to 7 p.m.

Appointments can be made at District Health offices or a number of local pharmacies offer vaccines, many on a walk in basis.

Testing events will be held at various locations in the month and a full list with other information can be seen with this story on our news page at WATZ dot com.

Officials urge people to get vaccinated and or boosters and wear masks to help avoid the spread of Covid - especially during the holidays as numbers have been increasing sharply amongst those who have not.
