A 43 year old Kalkaska man was recently arrested for attempted retail fraud at the Alpena Walmart.
State Police say Niklos William Dunlop was identified on surveillance video through a previous retail fraud incident last July. In August, Dunlop was allegedly swapping lower priced scanner bar codes onto higher priced items. But on self check out, codes did not match what was being scanned and one item was not scanned at all.
In September, an arrest warrant was authorized, the State Police Fugitive Team arrested Dunlop January 6th, and he was arraigned on one count First Degree Retail Fraud, with bond set at $5,000 - 10% cash surety.
