RC Council Approves Engineering Services For Lake Street Water - Sewer Project

Rogers City Council members recently approved of amending their water and sewer budgets to accommodate an engineering study for Lake Street.

City Manager Joe Hefele says portions have old cast iron mains, and some sewer lines even run under houses which could be a major problem if a line broke.

So 2-thousand dollars ($2,000.00) will come from the sewer budget and another 54-hundred ($5,400.00) from the water budget to have an engineering company develop a preliminary design for water sewer upgrades.

Hefele says the city getting more federal COVID related funding is likely, and so it would be a good idea to have a shovel ready project all ready to go if and when grant dollars are available.
