LOWV Holds Voter Rights Forum With Local Clerks
Tue, 11 Jan 2022 06:06:02 EST

With all the big lie theory about elections, and associated issues related to the same, one might wonder what do local clerks in the region have to say about voting rights?

The League of Women Voters of Northeast Michigan will present a voting rights program on Wednesday (12) at 7 p.m. at Alpena Community College, in the Center Building - Room 106.

County Clerks of Alcona, Alpena, and Presque Isle Counties have been invited to participate, along with township clerks who manage all the voting procedures.

League President Feys says she has a lot of respect for the clerks, who have been under a lot of ".... increased - and often unfair - scrutiny over the past year.".

You may attend in person wearing a face mask or live stream the event with connection information included with this story on our news page at WATZ dot com.
