Thu, 13 Jan 2022 06:02:07 EST

The Martin Luther King Junior Committee of northeast Lower Michigan is planning a Zoom discussion on the evening of Martin Luther King Junior Day on Monday (January 17).

With the ongoing pandemic, the committee was not able to organize their usual indoor activities for observing the day.

The Zoom session starting at 7:00 is centered around a short Ted Talk by Baratunde Thurston on “How to deconstruct racism”, a virtual discussion about racial justice.

Thurston is an Emmy-nominated writer, activist, and comedian who addresses serious issues with depth, wit, and calls to action.

To participate, check out this story on our news page at WATZ dot com on how to email in advance for connection information.
