Michigan has a new infrastructure office to help the state manage projects to fix roads and bridges, replace lead pipes, and expand high-speed Internet among other things.
The state infrastructure office will be responsible for overseeing the spending of federal money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Plan.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer says Michigan will receive billion of dollars and with the new office, can move full steam ahead toward making improvements while also creating good-paying jobs.
