Alpena Fireworks Fundraising - Almost There

A last chance Alpena Fireworks Fundraiser held Thursday brought organizers closer to the goal of $23,000.00 but they are still not quite there.

Alisha Bouchard, Director of Events for the Alpena Area Chamber of Commerce says the Century 21 Northland drive by sales event resulted in 4-hundred dollars in sales, making the total collected so far at $22,150.00.

The fireworks company has to be notified on Monday of the status and the order placed.

Bouchard says since there are still some bracelets left over, another last minute drive by sales event will be held today at Star Staffing between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to try to push contributions over the top and hit the goal.

Star Staffing is located and easily accessible to obtain a bracelet for a $5.00 suggested donation at 537 West Chisholm Street, across from the Dairy Queen.
