Alpena Man Arrested On Criminal Sexual Conduct Charges

A 38-year-old Alpena man has been arrested on criminal sexual conduct charges.

State Police of Alpena say this past January, a female came in to the post to report an alleged sexual assault of a child who told her mother she was sexually abused between January 2017 and July 2018.

The suspect, Johnathan Allen Beatty from Alpena was arrested after an investigation and search of his residence. Beatty, a convicted felon had firearms and ammunition which he was not allowed to possess.

Beatty was arraigned on two counts Criminal Sexual Conduct First Degree Victim Under 13, one count Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes, two counts Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, and one count Possession Ammunition by Felon.

His bond was set at $250,000 cash surety. His next scheduled court appearance is on June 22, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
