Train Derailment - Long Lake Avenue Crossing

If you travel Long Lake Avenue and Road in and out of the City of Alpena, take note that road is closed at the Long Lake Avenue railroad crossing.

That, due to a train loaded with gravel has derailed at the Long Lake Avenue Crossing.

While there is no danger to the public, the crossing will be impassable for up to 3 days and motorists should plan on taking an alternate route.
