According to data from the National Center For Education Statistics, Michigan has one of the largest average class sizes, ranking 3rd in the top ten most crowded classrooms, behind only California and Utah.

Michigan Elementary Class Size averaged 24.2 students, the highest in the nation, 29 in secondary class size and an average class size of 26.6.
