Luzerne Man Arrested for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Brandishing a Firearm

On Saturday, July 18th, at approximately 1:45 p.m. troopers from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Alpena Post were dispatched to a report of a dispute at a residence on Royce Avenue in Luzerne.

The homeowner, 57-year-old David Gerard Wandolowski, was later arrested on several counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Brandishing a Firearm.

Wandolowski called 911 to report reckless drivers on Royce Avenue. Wandolowski stated he had a verbal argument with someone who lived down the road. According to the other persons involved, when they showed up to speak with Wandolowski about confronting one of their family members, Wandolowski allegedly pointed a handgun at them.   

A warrant was authorized by the Oscoda County Prosecutor’s office and Wandolowski was arrested and lodged in the Oscoda County Jail. He is charged with four counts Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and one count Brandishing a Firearm. He was arraigned in the 81st District Court in Oscoda on Friday (July 24th).
