Residential brush only pick up will begin Monday (August 3rd) for City of Alpena residents.

Brush should not be placed curbside at this time and should only be placed curbside the day prior to your scheduled pick-up and no later than 6 a.m. of your scheduled pick-up day. Any material placed at the curb after 6 a.m.
on your pick-up day or after your pick-up day will NOT be collected and you will be required to remove it from the curb.
Homeowners are reminded that brush piles are to be no larger than six-feet by six-feet.
The City also reminds citizens that the Public Works Service Center, at 1001 Long Lake Avenue, will no longer accept brush drop off. However, the Public Works Service Center is open Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will continue to accept bagged lawn materials for City of Alpena residents only.
The Public Works Service Center will also be open on Saturday, August 8th, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the drop off of bagged material only.
Monday, August 3rd: The area east of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.
Tuesday, August 4th: The area north of the river and east of Chisholm Street, from Fourteenth Avenue to the City limits.
Wednesday, August 5th: The area west of Ripley Boulevard and south of Washington Avenue.
Thursday, August 6th: The area north of Washington Avenue and west of US-23/ Chisholm Street, to the City limits.
