A shoot-out settled the Wings game in downtown Detroit last night. Montreal won the game 3-2. Lucas Raymond and Austin Czarnik scored goals while Dominik Kubalik had his 10th assist. Wings Captain Dylan Larkin says he still likes the way they've been playing so far. Newly called up winger Matt Luff will be out for an extended period after a dangerous hit on him head first into the boards. Lalonde called the timeline similar to Filip Zadina, who's out at least 6 weeks. Detroit still adds a point to their record and are now 7-3-3. They will have another game tomorrow night against the Rangers at 7 p.m.
The College Playoff committee puts Michigan in the top 4. They are currently number 3 in the rankings, behind Georgia and Ohio State. TCU is ranked at number 4.
Eastern Michigan is bowl eligible again after beating Akron, 34-28. Samson Evans had 133 yards and two scores on the ground.
