Six unanswered goals in the 3rd period sent the Red Wings sliding, eventually losing 8-2 to the Rangers after having the game tied five minutes into the final period. Ville Husso was in net for all 8 goals, New York putting 17 shots on net in the 3rd period. Joe Valeno and Lucas Raymond with goals. 22 year old Jonatan Bergrren had an assist in his NHL debut. The Red Wings have another game tomorrow night against the LA Kings. Face off is at 10:30 p.m.

The Pistons have a game tonight on the road against the Knicks. Detroit is still looking for their first victory on the road. Tip off is at 7:30 p.m.

The Lions play again Sunday afternoon and are looking to make it two wins in a row. It’s a division matchup as they travel to Chicago to play the Bears. Game time is 1 p.m.

Michigan backup QB Cade McNamara revealed on social media that he underwent knee surgery and played hurt last season when he was the starter saying that a lot of work and rehab lies ahead but he'll be back better than ever. The university also announced that they plan to add more security around the Big House tunnel and allow more of a gap between teams as they head to locker rooms changes to prevent more incidents after the altercation between Michigan and MSU.

On the field Michigan will host Nebraska tomorrow at 3:30 p.m. while the Spartans host Rutgers tomorrow at noon.
