Coming up in 3 days, Michigan will take the field for the first time in nearly a month when they play TCU in the College Football Playoff semi-final game. Quarterback JJ McCarthy says the long layoff has been good for them since winning the Big 10 title game. Pass rusher Mike Morris, recovering from injury, was spotted on the practice field. The game is at 4 p.m. New Year’s Eve.
Another big piece of the Michigan State defense will return to East Lansing next season LB Aaron Brule says he'll be back for a 6th year of eligibility. The team also signed their 3rd 4-star recruit for the 2024 class: corner Jaylen Thompson out of Tennessee.
Over to the pros, the Pistons are back in action tonight against the Orlando Magic. The Pistons are currently on a 6 game losing streak. Tip off is at 7 p.m.
The Red Wings are also back in action tonight after a week off. Their Friday game against Ottawa was postponed due to bad weather. Detroit has traveled to Pittsburgh and they will play the Penguins. Face off is at 7:30 p.m.
