TCU couldn't hang with the defending champions as Georgia beat them, 65-7, the largest margin of victory in any bowl game in college football history, including title games. The Bulldogs are back-to-back national champions for the first time in school history. Since 1990, the only other schools to win back-to-back titles are Alabama in 2011-12, Nebraska in 1994-95 and USC in 2003-04.
Michigan star running back Blake Corum says he has unfinished business and will be returning to Ann Arbor for another season with the Wolverines. He joined Rich Eisen's show on Roku for the reveal, but says he doesn't know if Jim Harbaugh will be back and has his own decision to make regarding the NFL.
Following their (9-8) season the Lions cleaned out their lockers after just missing the postseason. Tackle Penei Sewell says their goal next year is to host playoff games at Ford Field. Coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn have both been requested to interview for open head coaching jobs. Dan Campbell's message to his players going into the offseason: Be smart, and be safe.
The Red Wings and Pistons both play tonight. The Wings host the Winnipeg Jets at 7 p.m., while the Pistons play Philadelphia again at 7 p.m. as well.
And in college basketball, Michigan State has another game tonight. They will play Wisconsin at 7 p.m.
