STATEWIDE SPORTS

The Red Wings snapped a three game losing streak, beating the Vegas Golden Knights 3-2. Goals came from Lucas Raymond, Dominik Kubalik and Joe Veleno. Goalie Ville Husso was the top star with 33 saves. This is Detroit’s 19th win of the year, bringing their season point total to 46. Not much rest for the Wings though, as they fly back home to face the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

The Pistons are heading back to the states after losing 126-108 to the Bulls in Paris names in attendance included Ben Wallace, Rip Hamilton, Joe Dumars and Magic Johnson. Detroit doesn’t have another game until Monday when they will host the Milawaukee Bucks at 7 p.m.

And in college basketball, Michigan State took care of ranked Rutgers at home, 70-57. The Spartans are now two games back of Purdue in the conference standings.

As for Michigan, they lost control in the final 10 minutes against Maryland and lost 64-58. That’s the team's 3rd loss in 4 games.
