College Basketball:
ACC Women vs Grand Rapids at 1 p.m

STATEWIDE SPORTS

The streak continues for the Red Wings; they’ve won 5 games in a row after a 5-2 win in Calgary last night, their longest winning streak of the year. Goals came from Dominik Kubalik, who had two, as well as Robby Fabbri, Tyler Bertuzzi and Pius Suter. David Perron got his 700th career point of his career. Detroit Goalie Magnus Hellberg filled in for Ville Husso and stopped 33 shots, including 5 power play chances. Detroit’s next game will be against the Seattle Kraken tomorrow night at 10:30 p.m.

Over to college, Michigan and Ohio State hockey will go into their outdoor game this weekend off of a tie final score in Columbus 3-3. They clash at the Cleveland Browns’ stadium tomorrow. Face off is at 4 p.m.

Michigan and Michigan State will square off in basketball tomorrow at 8 p.m. The Wolverines will hold a 30 second moment of silence before the game.
