Lions fall to 0-5, losing a heartbreaker to the Vikings 19-17.


The Lions appeared to be in good shape after recovering a fumble and scoring a
touchdown on a Deandre Swift seven yard touchdown run. Then a two point conversion
gave them a 17-16 lead with 37 seconds left.


But four plays later Minnesotas Greg Joseph kicked a walk off 54 yard field goal.
Lions quarterback Jared Goff threw for 203 yards and one interception. He also turned
it over on another fumble- his league leading sixth of the year.


Wide Receiver Quintez Cepheus left the game with a serious shoulder injury according
to Head Coach Dan Campbell.


Lions host 3-2 Cincinnati next Sunday.


Michigan is number eight and Michigan State 10 in the latest AP college football poll.
The Big Ten has five teams in the top 10. Georgia is the new number one.
