Forcing a late turnover the Lions had a chance to beat the Falcons in the final minutes for the second straight year, but a Tim Boyle interception with about 30 seconds left at the Atlanta 9 yard line ended the game with a 20-16 final score in Atlanta. Boyle filled in for Jarod Goff, who remains on the COVID list. Amon Ra St Brown with another big game at receiver for Detroit; 9 catches, 91 yards and a score. The Lions are now 2-12-1 and still a half game better than the Jaguars.

Only 9 active players for the Pistons in San Antonio, including mostly G-League fill-ins, and they couldn't keep up. Spurs win 144-109, giving up 78 in the first half as 8 regular players remain on the COVID list. That's Detroit's 10th straight road loss. Their next game is set for Wednesday back at Little Caesars Arena.
