Steve Yzerman has his new head coach the Wings announcing that 4-year Tampa Bay assistant Derek Lelonde will come aboard and lead the team after helping with the two Lightning titles. He replaces Jeff Blashill who was let go two month ago following the 6th straight season they missed the playoffs.

The Detroit Tigers will have another game tonight. They start a three game series against the Kansas City Royals. Game one is tonight at 7:10 p.m.

The Big Ten expands all the way to the West Coast, voting unanimously to accept USC and UCLA into the conference. They'll join officially in Summer 2024.

NBA Free agency begins as the Pistons signed Marvin Bagley III to a new 3-year, $37.5m deal and also brought in former Knick Kevin Knox on a 2-year, $6m contract. They also revealed their tentative Summer League roster which includes Cade Cunningham, Saddiq Bey, Isaiah Stewart and rookie Jaden Ivey. Their other first rounder, Jalen Duren, expected to be added when the draft day trade with New York becomes official.

And the Final Four is set at the Michigan Amateur at Hawk Hollow. Playing for the title today are Patrick Deardorff of Clarkston, David Szymanski from Grosse Pointe Park, Eastmanvilles August Meekhof, and Nick Krueger of Spring Lake. They'll play both the semifinals and finals today.
