The Tigers make their first move of the trade deadline, sending veteran Robbie Grossman to Atlanta for a pitching prospect after a season and a half in Detroit. Lefty prospect Kris Anglin comes back in the deal he's about to turn 22. The MLB trade cutoff is at 6pm today and more swaps could be coming. The Astros reportedly have interest in Detroit closer Gregory Soto and several other bullpen arms could also draw interest.

As for the Tigers game, they fell in 10 innings after giving up 3 in the final frame Alex Lange gave up the walkoff homer to Gio Urshela in Minnesota. Tarik Skubal left the game after 5 with arm fatigue. The Tigers will send Matt Manning to the bump for the first time since mid-April. He says he feels like hes debuting all over again Manning get the nod in Minnesota for Game 2 of their series at Target Field a 7:40 first pitch against the first place Twins.

Michigan and MSU football each land 4-star tackles for their 2023 classes. Evan Link out of DC for the Wolverines and the Spartans got an Alabama kid Stanton Ramil who unofficially visited East Lansing last fall.

The pads continue cracking at Lions training camp as the team prepares for the upcoming season head coach Dan Campbell says that theyre functionally better than they were last year at this time. Holmes also saying that Tim Boyle and David Blough will battle for the backup job.
