The Lions practiced at Ford Field over the weekend in front of an excited home crowd. Head coach Dan Campbell had good vibes while working on things at the stadium. It's back to Allen Park to continue training camp today with their first preseason game at the end of the week.

Final results at Michigan International Speedway Kevin Harvick won for the first time in 65 races by taking the checkered flag at M.I.S. just ahead of Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin. Native Brad Keselowski was 15th.

A 7 run ninth inning doomed the Tigers in front of their home crowd, unable to get onto the scoreboard in the 7-0 loss. Matt Manning was stellar for 7 innings he struck out 7 Rays but Tampa took 3 of their 4 games at Comerica Park over the long weekend series.

And Michigan Hockey names its interim coach after parting ways with Mel Pearson. Brandon Naurato was promoted after spending last season as an assistant he spent 3 years developing Red Wings players and played for the Wolverines from 2006-2009.
