Rogers City Council members recently approved of several street paving projects.

The decision is part of the city multi year effort to upgrade street surfaces and parts of the city have been divided up into quadrants with similar costs, and where water or sewer projects are planned or in some cases not planned.

The council opted to approve paving areas in what is referred to as quadrant six, which includes major parts of Michigan and Huron Streets between Third and 6th, and 6th through 4th Streets between Michigan and Huron.

The total projected cost is over 2-hundred 40 thousand of which 1-hundred 87 thousand has been budgeted. Any additional dollars required may have to be pulled from street reserve funds.
