During their most recent meeting (April 15th), Alpena Community College Board members approved a bid for a vehicle lift system.

Officials say ACC regularly updates equipment used for instruction by academic programs. The Automotive Service program identified the need to replace one of its vehicle lifts.

Two vendors submitted bids for a vehicle lift with the low bid coming from Snap-on Industrial from Crystal Lake for a cost not to exceed nearly 38 thousand dollars ($37,658.22). Included in the purchase is a 12,000 pound scissor alignment lift and an associated software/hardware package from Snap-on Industrial.

Officials say funding for the purchase would come from several sources including Perkins Grant funds and ACC program funds.
